Mercy Meditation
Position
Seated in an upright position or lying face up, make sure your chest and shoulders are able to relax. Place your hands palm-over-palm over the top of your belly button. Minimize external stimulus/distractions.
Breathing
INHALE through the nose
EXHALE through the nose
Intention
Recenter. Cleanse the mind of attachments.
"I mitigate Mercy to ______."
Practice
As you breathe deep, strong breaths, begin to feel the sensation of your belly moving in and out.
Roll the shoulders.
Adjust your position.
Do what you need to do to feel this peaceful, rhythmic motion.
Continue to take deep, strong breaths, feeling the motion extend upwards.
Breathe into the base of the spine for a few breaths.
Visualize/Feel: White Light at your root energy center.
Breathe into the lower abdomen for a few breaths.
Visualize/Feel: White Light in your sacral/lumbar energy center.
Breathe into your upper abdomen for a few breaths.
Visualize/Feel: White Light in your solar energy center.
Feel the energy building upwards and begin to trickle into the lower chest.
Feel the sensation of filling up with White Light and energy in your heart-center.
Feel the energy expand up through the lower heart, into the heart-center in the middle of your chest, then up into the collarbones and shoulders.
Feel the energy fill and expand into all aspects of your thoracic cavity (front and back ribs, upper and lower lungs).
When this experience feels at its peak, bring your mind to that which you want to release.
It can be an emotion, an attachment, an old way of being.
Whatever it is you want to intentionally release from your mind-body.
Bring this intention to the center of your forehead.
Maintain your connection to your White Light filled heart-center, sitting with this distortion/pattern in your mind.
Slow your breathing into long, calming breaths.
Notice how that feels.
Are there parts of your body that feel tense or pain?
Does your breathing change?
Where does your mind want to go?
Now, visualize/feel a White sparkling cloud of Light descending down from the heavens.
Visualize/Feel: White Light just above your head, on top of your head, and in the center of your head
Visualize/Feel: White Light move into the center of your forehead
Visualize/Feel: White Light wash over the face and throat
Visualize/Feel: White Light come to a rest at the top of your chest where the collarbones meet
Feel the Joy and Peace that resonates through your heart-center as you let the White Light from above and below begin to mix here.
You can repeat breaths to pull the White Light up from the lower energy centers OR repeat breaths that allow the sparkling White Light to descend down through the upper energy centers.
Continue until this mixing process feels complete and the heart-center feels balanced and resolved.
The whole mind-body should feel even with a smooth balance between top and bottom.
The power of Mercy enables us to transmute past wrongs, generational trauma, and unintegrated life experiences. Always, we can utilize our True Self and our connection to Source to call upon this high level healing. Allow the White Light to wash all the way through your body, creating harmony and feelings of bliss.
